The HOTTO Boiling Water Tap

CorporateTrailer was tasked with creating a clear and practical How-To video for the installation of the HOTTO boiling water tap. The goal was to make the installation process easier for both professionals and consumers.

Instructional videos and manuals are not always straightforward. The real challenge lies in determining how to present the information in a way that is both engaging and easy to follow. Just like IKEA relies on specialists to craft its assembly guides, we approached this project with the same level of detail and expertise.

Our Approach

We started by fully immersing ourselves in the product, ensuring we understood every installation step. From there, Jan developed a script that transformed technical instructions into a clear, visual narrative.

For the on-screen demonstration, we conducted a casting call and found Hiske, who was the perfect fit for guiding viewers through the process. The filming took place in our professional studio, ensuring a controlled and distraction-free environment.

Although a how-to video might seem simple, it requires careful planning and execution. In total, we spent 1.5 days filming to ensure every detail was captured correctly.

Once filming was complete, we developed a standardized format and edited one full-length instructional film, which was then divided into six separate segments for a more modular and user-friendly viewing experience.
